Do You Need A Whole Serving Of Dream Water?

Dream Water has become one of my go-to supplements for deep, uninterrupted sleep (it’s more potent than another shot, Food for Sleep, that I use for redeye flights, naps, and light sleep assistance). It’s got a potent combo of ingredients including GABA, melatonin, and 5-HTP. But because Dream Water doesn’t list the exact amounts of these ingredients in its “proprietary blend,” I’m not sure exactly how much I’m getting when I take a serving. But I do know that it’s powerful enough to have left me slightly groggy if I get less than 7.5 hours of sleep after taking it. My guess is that the melatonin content is high enough to leave me feeling groggy after a shorter night’s sleep, which other melatonin supplements have done in the past.

However, the folks at Dream Water sent me a message with a simple way around this: Take half a serving. It’s a suggestion that has worked very, very well for me. Nowadays, I half a “shot” of Dream Water before bedtime, and I still get that deep, uninterrupted sleep without the groggy feeling the next morning, even if I get under, say, 8 hours of sleep. I store the remaining half in the fridge for the next day, but I generally just throw it out if

I don’t end up using it again within 24 hours; I’m not sure how shelf-stable the ingredients are after the seal is broken.

Dream Water is a great sleep supplement. However, if you’re a lighter/smaller person or have a higher sensitivity to melatonin, I’d recommend starting off by breaking the Dream Water shots int

o two servings. You’ll get more for your money and reduce the likelihood of post-sleep grogginess.
